In my past (about 20 yrs ago) I've rebuilt and worked on Trimatics but the memory has vanished so would like some info please. I have a Trimatic out of a HQ that has a shift selector on the right side of the box and want to fit an LX Torana T bar shifter that is suited to a Trimatic with the selector on the left side. My hazy memory tells me it is just a matter of removing the valve body and swapping the selector shaft around to exit the opposite side of the box.
