Title: Main Bearing Cap Differences Post by: southside on June 21, 2017, 11:42:54 AM Hi All,
I'm struggling to find a definitive answer on the net and all the workshop manuals for each Series use the same generic picture but can some one identify which main bearing caps are the early type and which are the later type? The bottom picture shows the early (ribbed) style of main bearing cap, for all the 132 motors. I was only made aware of the difference a couple of weekends ago. And one J block that has the top type fitted. From speaking to a few people and looking at a few different setups I'm pretty certain the top ones are the later model.
