Title: Paint on hood liner
Post by: Roybeth on May 30, 2017, 09:16:41 PM
Hood liner in my Ute is in pretty good nick -apart from the overspray from when respray was done (previous owner is still dirty about it!).  >:(

Any ideas on what has any chance of removing the paint?

If the respray was done with two-pack paint, your chances may not be good.
See whether you can dislodge any of the overspray by scraping gently with a fingernail.  I'd hesitate to suggest anything stronger than a scrubbing brush (gently!) and warm soapy water.

Thanks Rob, yeah I believe it was a two pack so I thought we would have buckleys - but had to ask

I had the same problem, so I tried wax and grease remover, with a nail brush (gently) - worked well.!
