Got some very nice 14" HT rims off a forum member. I have HR Front End (disc) I have EH rear end (drums) I trialled fitting the wheels on both front and back Front - the rims hit the front end and push on the top grease nipple. Rear - the wheel nuts only go half way onto the thread. Is this a wheel, stud or rotor issue? @RET, Stinky - if this should have been in my Car Under Construction page, let me know. Also for the studs my mates is the same a accident waiting to happen i would look for longers studs. As per my pm we had the wheels on a standard front end without clearance issues. In addition we had them on our van before it was significantly modified. At that time it had a hr front end with ht stubs and discs. In this form we had no clearance issues. I think the ball joint interference is caused by by the differences in hr and ht stubs. The 14 inch spindles hk to wb have the axle moved up 20mm effecitvely lowering the car while providing balljoint additional ball joint clearance. Hope this helps. Regards John and Kathi. |
