Title: V6 conersion Post by: freddyc on February 25, 2017, 08:30:55 AM got my VR V6 motor to run yesterday but when we plugged the snapon scan tool up it did not register or pick up the motor. Has any one got any ideas??

Most snap on readers are OBD2. VR V6 is ALDL (or crudely sometimes called OBD1). Your reader won't pick it up. BUT if you have a warning light you can bridge pins 5&6 to get the warning light to flash in a series of blinks to give error code numbers Title: Re: V6 conersion Post by: freddyc on February 25, 2017, 05:19:38 PM I ended up using the harness that came in the kit with the body control module. fred Title: Re: V6 conersion Post by: FireKraka on February 26, 2017, 09:50:43 AM Hi mate I would have said exactly what NES did best way is to bridge the terminals as stated on the diagnostic plug if you have a commodore manual it will give you a list of the codes and you want it to flash 12 that means everything is ok
