What are the plans? Nick Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: fc25250 on November 09, 2016, 12:14:30 PM Nice one Ken and I cannot disagree with the colours She looks great
Let's see more pictures from every angle including the engine Dept. Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: mcl1959 on November 09, 2016, 12:34:45 PM Has done just over 100k miles. The last owner bought it when it was a very low miles original car and drove it for about 10 years before storing it.
It's had some minor rust repair at the front of the subframe and the bottom of the A pillar. No rust in guards, doors, floors etc. The original owner pulled up all the flooring and painted under it. Mats are a little damaged though. ::) I'm redoing the brakes at the moment. :P I will probably end up selling it Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: mc59 on November 10, 2016, 02:27:25 AM Classic, looks very nice. Handbrake looks familiar too :) wish there were more like her on the roads.
Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: gp on November 10, 2016, 07:03:32 AM Nice colours!
Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: graham_fuller on November 10, 2016, 08:10:55 AM Thanks for sharing Ken. Nice looking car.
Cheers, Graham Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: mcl1959 on November 10, 2016, 09:31:26 AM The piece of wood was a waste of time in the end, it turned out the brakes were so stuck that the car barely moved with pushing.
The handbrake was completely put together wrong with brackets bent, modified, cut and extended. I replaced the entire rear cable section and all the retaining brackets including the ones attached to the shoes. The weird mods had even pulled the shoes at an angle so all the rear shoes were also replaced as well. The usual sleeving of wheel cylinders and new hoses and master cylinder was also done. I will post a photo of the battery tray..... That was interesting :P Ken Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: AngelMac on November 10, 2016, 08:52:07 PM Love it!! Looks great Ken, similiar colors to mine. :)
Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: mcl1959 on November 17, 2016, 08:39:27 PM Here's the battery tray. 2 trays welded together to hold the battery plus a container of petrol, water and oil.
It uses all the original bolts only and was very unique (https://s16.postimg.org/9puvbii5t/image.jpg) ($2) Ken Title: Re: Ken's new FC Post by: ACT59FC on November 17, 2016, 11:26:30 PM Wow Ken, a late 59? Extended rear fins? Paper air filter? Rear indicators.....a real FC ;D
