Title: Where to begin again with my FE? Post by: AngelMac on September 15, 2016, 06:41:09 PM Hi All,
This my first post here on the forum, and I've got to say how inspiring it is to see the passion and hard work that goes into transforming these fabulous cars! I have a 57 FE Special (two tone blue) that I bought 20 years ago for my first car. The couple I bought it from in Daylesford had been given the car as a wedding present and had kept it in reasonable condition when I bought it. Dad was happy at the time that I'd chosen something solid, and we did a very basic restoration to get it back on the road. After living interstate for many years I stored it where I could mostly undercover, but sometimes out in the elements (terrible I know). It's been sitting for the last 15 years ...but is incredibly sentimental to me and I've never wanted to get rid of it, dreaming that one day I would get it back on the road. I guess in alot of ways I am back at the beginning but will be project managing solo this time which is a little overwhelming. I guess my question is does anyone know of any contacts in the geelong/ocean grove area that could look over it so that I can begin to make a plan! Cheers :) Title: Re: Where to begin again with my FE? Post by: hsv-001 on September 16, 2016, 08:40:08 AM I'm up in Qld but if I can be of any assistance let me know . Just PM and send photos . I should say that I have to be realistic, a 'resto' for me wont look anything like I have seen on these forums (unfortunately). The goal is to be able to get it back to roadworthy condition and enjoy driving it on weekends, etc. Keeping it original is the idea, just hoping it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg to do it. :-\ Ken and Haydn I have sent you a pm. Thanks for the offer NES304 - if only it was driveable :) Title: Re: Where to begin again with my FE?
