Title: Oils
Post by: TAZ64 on August 01, 2016, 08:36:28 AM
I'm sure this had been discussed previously and the topic usually generates lots of variations in opinion.
It's been a long time since i've owned a vehicle powered by a Holden red motor (21 years) and there's been a lot of advancements in motor oils during that time.
So what engine oil do people run or recommend for a slighly modified mild red motor?
Just to make the discussion more robust I'll even throw the Synthetic v Mineral oil debate into the mix  ;D

A red motor is a very basic engine with not many requirements from the oil you put in it.
20w -50 is fine - use a good brand.
Don't bother with synthetic oil.
