Title: Grey motor pistons for a bike rebuild
Post by: RustyandDusty on April 11, 2016, 07:45:18 AM
Hi sorry I know this is not exactly Holden related but I have a 1916 V Twin motorcycle I'm attempting to rebuild and I'm looking for grey motor pistons for it ( they are the closest size and deck height to the originals) I need something idealy at 65 thou over 3 inch. If anyone is able to point me in the direction of a supplier ID be grateful. I have tried most of the usual but no luck.

Thanks

Mark

Mark , late last year I was talking to a couple of engineering students at University of Queensland about their HQ Holden motor rebuilds [high performance pistons ] . Long story short ,they told me they were machining the tops off Subaru pistons to make them fit [also experimenting with compression and shape of piston ] . Just thought that might be worth some thought . Cheers Haydn
