Title: Hello Forum Post by: fastjbav6 on July 15, 2003, 07:33:37 AM :) Hello fellow Holden lovers, just joined the forum, what a fantastic site.
I built the majority of 2brite being a mechanic and soon it will be my turn to own a FC/FE not sure which 1 yet, im sure i'll be getting a few unbiased tips on which model to buy ;) Hope to chat to you all soon. Cheers Seb Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: craiga on July 15, 2003, 07:45:07 AM Hey Seb,
Great to have you aboard. I thought I'd get in early and warn you off those early models with the small round blinkers and boring stainless kits. Go for the later model FC, we all know how many lessons were learnt between the VN and the VS - the same applied in the mid to late '50's........ Oh no, I've just painted a target on my chest :-[ Look forward to hearing of your build. Cheers, Craig. Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: slim on July 15, 2003, 07:49:59 AM And for god sake any Bloody colour But undercoat (grey). Looks like the targets a shared one Craig . Oh Welcome Aboard SEB

Welcome aboard Seb, I would have to agree with Craig, just like Holden themselves learn by the mistakes of earlier versions and get the best, buy an FC. You won,t find any biased opinions on this site ::) Good Luck John M Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: normd on July 15, 2003, 09:30:31 AM Hi Seb

So your buying an FC obviously ,My advice - Get a Panelvan , So much more personality and rarer too so will hold its value or even increase in the futre. Let me start again "So you are buying" ;D an FC P/Van good on ya mate ;) your one of us 8) Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: Wayne on July 16, 2003, 12:14:19 AM Hi
The best one to buy is a good grey fe they look tops. No they are not primer they are the top colour that makes the others envoy that they do not have one. My advice get a FE WAYNE Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on July 16, 2003, 01:35:22 AM Bugger what everyone else says!
The answer is simple, Get one of each! (don't know about that grey colour though) ;D ;D Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: FCwagon on July 16, 2003, 03:28:29 AM It's not a big choice if it's going to be a modified. Both look good dropped on the deck with big fat wheels and mechanicals most likely will be updated anyway. Red ones go faster tho' 8)
Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: RET on July 16, 2003, 04:46:57 AM If you do an FE, you can save money:
- no stoopid dash shroud ($50 saved) - no embossing on seats or door-trims (prob $100 there) - no fins to be rechromed (prob $100 there too) So there's $250 in your pocket and a more elegant looking car anyway :D cheers RET Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: customFC on July 16, 2003, 05:08:38 AM I'm with RET,,,go with the CHEAPlooking FE....oh wait a minute....maybe NOT!!! ;D
Regards Alex Title: Re: Hello Forum Post by: fastjbav6 on July 16, 2003, 11:31:02 AM Thanks 4 your 'positive' comments guys, i've decided 2 have another go at building a Fine Classic, :Dbut i might just First Experiment ;Dwith a particular model first. ;)
