The police car photo taken intersection wilson street and ladbrook streets  if you google it hasnt changed much    the taxi was owned by George Huxtable  he owned and drove a cab in Burnie since I was a kid  he knew every one and where you lived  was still driving cab in the ninties

Wasnt unusual for telephones to have low numbers back then  a phone was a novelty  I remember when we finally got one  was the only one in the area  and people would often drop in to use the phone
