Or POR15.
Jim Title: Re: scuff plates Post by: GMHwagoon on June 03, 2015, 06:09:46 PM jim l thought about por15 what is the finish like on the black is it a high gloss or more of a milky black l could use the por15 for some other items under the car its just that the scuff plates are what everyone can see want something presentable thanks greg Title: Re: scuff plates Post by: RET on June 03, 2015, 08:16:14 PM There's are glossy and matte versions of POR-15. My steering wheel is painted with it, and it's pretty hard-wearing stuff.

Title: Re: scuff plates Post by: KFH on June 05, 2015, 09:09:34 AM I used two pack and after 3 years of use there are no scratches. tough as. The colour I chose was a light grey that looks very close to the original cad plating. Can give you the colour and post a photo if required.

Will probably powder coat them next time, but the paint is wearing well so far. Graeme
Title: Re: scuff plates Post by: Old_Mt_Isa_Boy on June 06, 2015, 07:43:37 AM Greg I had a number of parts ceramic coated at the same time (side plate, water pump and thermo housing etc) so could not work out how much for the scuff plates alone. Give your local agent a call. They will never rust out.
