Title: Rattling Windscreen Post by: CoolFCWgn on April 29, 2015, 08:46:18 PM Has anyone encountered a sound like the windscreen rattling or knocking at the top of the dash? I thought the sound may have been coming from the wipers, though as far as I can tell it does seem to be the windscreen. I didn't replace the rubber on my wagon as it and the screen looked fairly new. Any thoughts appreciated . I helped another member with a similar problem, I sealed the screen with neutral cure silicone which fixed the problem.

We had a sound like that in an old Pontiac Chieftain, until the old man got the rat with a BBQ skewer. I had similar in an EK with sloppy wiper linkages. The self tappers that hold the quarter window into the door will tap on the frame if the door is swung too high , making a cracking noise . Haydn
