Title: fixing rear quarters but on the inside of the boot rusted

Hi I have an fe and inside the boot where the bottom part of the rear quarters are are all rusted out just wondering if u can buy those pieces or have to make them thanx .

I assume you are talking about the piece which runs from the bottom of the rear quarter up to the rail in the boot. no one reproduces this piece.

Where are you located Justin. Is it just one side and the whole section. Pics would be good. I'm doing a mild custom that's all and I was thinking of modifying that section to house a battery. Fc hoon heavily modded this part for a compressor from memory. A bit more info would be good

Sorry im in qld and both sides are rusted and yes its the piece from the rear quarter to the rail . Someone got an oxy to it before I got the car on 1 side and other side needs replacing

Unless you are a stickler for perfection, you don't need the pressings in the metal. Just cut a cardboard template, transfer to metal and weld in.

I had a look at the panel last night. Bit hard to see but has anyone seen one squared off for storage. I'm just not sure if it would stick out when the car is on the ground. If it's just something you need not in a hurry I'll keep an eye out. There's a place not far from me who are making rust panels no longer available. I'm going to sus them out.

Wrecking a few cars - may cut a section out if he has any that are rust free.

Ok thanx fe350 no hurry at all just trying to find all the rust repair sections 1st so once I have them I can then do all the rust at once . I thought about squaring it of but I didnt no if it would stick out from behind when driving

Hi im wondering if there is any1 in qld logan area that is interested in welding 2 new outer sills and 2 front floors into my fe . Im willing to pay just would like a price 1st thanx .
