Just wondering if anyone can tell me the significance of these plates and the certificate.

Collectors edition plates released about mid eighties or so. Like all memorabilia, if it interests you, and the price seems fair, then you go for it.

It's just that it's not far so I could grab it if anyone needs it. I was moreso wanting to know the era so thanks for that. It's got the better model on it too.

There are 9 plates in this series which were manufactured in 1995.

Eight models, 48,215, FJ,FE,FC,FB,EK,EJ and EH.

The 9th plate is the one I have pictured.

Thanks for that. I'll get it to use in the shed with my fe cup but if somebody needed it for a set I could help them out.
