Title: Good price for a FE Panelvan
Post by: Diamond Dog on December 23, 2014, 11:13:55 PM
Hi

Got a 1956 FE panelvan in original condition. Was a barn find over 20 years ago and was only on the road for 1 year while I have had it. Original paint along with original tyres. Going to be putting it on the market soon and was wondering what a fair price would be.

Thanks.

Pics tell a thousand words.

If you have trouble uploading pics send them to me

Sounds like a nice car

Yes condition is everything. Pics of interior, exterior and engine bay would help. A description of any rust issues and motor condition (how many miles) is also good.

Regards.  Ken

Cos panel vans are rarer, can you give the numbers off the ID tag as well. I'm getting more interested in the panel vans.

I will be willing to send you some pictures and more info but I have been called out by work and wont have any communication for 2-3 weeks. The FE runs but has no interior. Has minimal rust and very little dents.

Thanks

Thanks. I'm in no rush. But if it has no interior and I was gunna buy it with original paint, id want all the running gear to have a close build date that's all. Has it had the front subframe taken off? Where's the car? Do you have any pics from previous owner with the original colours. Any history? You don't have to answer all of these questions i have at once lol. I didn't intend on having 2 sedans but the taxi is so rare I couldn't get rid of it, so I'm one of those ppl who find value in the early history of the car. If I found something interesting at the right price, I may even be able to keep my marriage in tact too. With colour I'm meaning interior.

Your van is a bit different as it has an FC trim code!
FE 2104 3180A  3180th built in Adelaide
Trim code relates to an FC255  Venetian Turquoise & black
Paint is Maize Cream
RPO factory fitted rear glass
Regards, Jim

Code is probably 5-682
Simple misread or maybe a misstamped tag

Just checked and found I had misread the tag. The trim number is 5-682
Also it does have factory fitted side windows.

Thanks
