Title: Replacement screws from original to better
Post by: fe350chev on December 14, 2014, 07:32:22 AM
Did many of you change from stupid Philips head to tek type screws or better ones when rebuilding?

I'd like to start a thread where ppl talk about and show pics of various improvements like nutserts, dash screws and/or ideas on making it easier to work on the car. There will be NO Philips head screws going back in the modded fe but the original fc I'll just put back much better quality.

I'd like to start a thread where I can ask heaps of questions and keep all the answers in one thread.
Awesome idea! Do it in this one 😉

Unless you have a constructive thing to say about your nuts.... Best leave the comedy to the professionals 😷

i dont see whats so bad about phillips screws
but i spose you need good metal there to start with
my side panels inside my ute tray are replaced by nutserts and 5mm stainless button head bolts
nut serts are definately the go over screws
