Title: Weber falcon carby to suit grey motor Post by: fe350chev on December 02, 2014, 09:13:12 PM Looking to get one in need of complete rebuild. I'm in Western Victoria. Prefer one that has been jetted for a grey. I may swap you a couple of strombergs in return.
Fe350chev@Gmail.com or message me with what you got. Title: Re: Weber falcon carby to suit grey motor Post by: GreyFC on December 03, 2014, 08:13:19 AM Give Brett a call he will likely have one, or at least give you the jet specs.

Title: Re: Weber falcon carby to suit grey motor Post by: GreyFC on December 03, 2014, 10:57:18 AM Sorry what I meant was he would probably tell you the jets to use. That way you can get one from a wreakers and just re-kit it and swap the jets.
Brett is very friendly. Title: Re: Post by: fe350chev on December 03, 2014, 03:46:01 PM Yeah I was chatting to him before I got crook and he was doing some testing. I would love to go there with my modded and ported head and just see how it goes. He might have done the grey testing with a few different cams. I need to ask. Do u know if blokes use roller cams in a grey
Title: Re: Post by: GreyFC on December 03, 2014, 04:26:25 PM Galloway engines in WA have a roller kit for the grey. $1100 ish. I don't have that but do have a good head that Brett has offered to flow for me.
Title: Re: Post by: fe350chev on December 03, 2014, 06:52:22 PM Cool. Yeah I'm not up to that stage just yet but my head has new guides, hot tank, crack tested, ported but not polished and I did a custom shaping of the chamber. Have you seen it in my "black and white taxi" build page? Maybe I'll go see him. I'm not too far away.
Title: Re: Post by: GreyFC on December 03, 2014, 07:57:39 PM No but I will look for it now as it sounds very interesting.
Title: Re: Post by: fe350chev on December 04, 2014, 09:18:20 AM I did the shaping to the chamber to get initial swirl starting the down stroke like other late model engines. I was going to yse laser tx3 pistons I think, cos they are light but I can't find my research atm. I got sick and stopped researching what I'm going to try.
