Post by: JOX515 on October 14, 2014, 06:07:38 PM
Some more pics of last Sunday morning's informal cars n coffee get together at Ballarat....

Looks like this will be a regular event in Ballarat (well, when the weather is good that is)....

So is that a club or fb group?

Not a club, just an event for anyone who drives a car and who wants to have a look at other cars over a coffee and a chat....

Yeah Dave, for some reason or another I can't get my pic to work.  Maybe the site doesn't like the link to the Shannon's club website.......

G'day Deano,

If you are on facebook, just type in Ballaratcarsncoffee and that should take you to their page.  The event will run each month and is based at the Sovereign Hill car park.  Very informal, no trophies or anything like that, just a quick get together for a couple of hours.....

How are you going and your projects???

Cheers, Graeme

This is a great idea, very similar to the Donut Derelicts car show held every Saturday morning in  Huntington Beach in California. It is recognised as the longest running car show / get together in the world. Very informal, held in a shopping centre car park that includes a donut and coffee shop. People just roll up, park their cars and wander around checking out everyone else's ride and shoot the breeze. Should be more of these types of events.

We used to do that in glenelg in Adelaide when I was younger. Good idea. Been finishing the new house and plodding along with the projects.
