Title: fuel tank Post by: cruiser on October 10, 2014, 08:40:25 PM Hi
I have an fc ute and have put I a vn v6 motor. The trouble I have is the exhaust system is running where the fuel tank should be.Would it be possible to move the tank forward. The problem is fabricating a tank that will hold enough fuel because of the transmission tunnel or dose any one already make a tank for this set up. Title: Re: fuel tank Post by: mcl1959 on October 11, 2014, 09:59:46 AM You could put the tank in the tray area under the rear window. Filler would go through the rear quarter forward of the original position.
I put an upright tank out of an early Mazda into the boot of an FC sedan many years ago and it worked well. Ken Title: Re: fuel tank Post by: cruiser on October 11, 2014, 04:08:54 PM Thanks Ken I will take some measurements to see how that would work.

Try this build. I unashamedly copied what Pete had done in my build HAVIN A GO. Some 50mm box as a frame fitted an 80 litre commodore tank in perfectly. I used some straps on top to bolt down. Anyway put em through the springs. This is prob what I'll end up doing.
