Title: Roof lining Post by: DJ on May 05, 2014, 12:03:50 PM Probably a question for Stinky reading through the old posts - has there been any progress with sourcing the original pattern from the states?
I'm after some in light green for a sedan. I spoke with someone in Melbourne who had just received the light blue pattern from the US. He said he will send some photos of the FC he's doing for a client. His experience with the cost of freight & the slow response from the states sounded similar to many posts. I see a site for Original Auto Interiors is still active but I don't know who his supplier is. Any advice greatly appreciated. Dave. Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on May 06, 2014, 04:30:41 PM I am still waiting for 2 rolls from the states (1 roll Off-white head liner and 1 roll Station Sedan cargo area vinyl) all paid up front last August (2013) apparently they are aiming for a 3 week turn-around :P
I'd be keen to speak to the bloke who got the Blue from the US as that would confirm that SMS is dicking me around more than usual >:( Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: DJ on May 07, 2014, 07:59:14 PM No email with photos yet this end. The only the detail I have is - Barry, 0425 762 018. The freight was apparently outrageous ($450) for a roll 4m x 137cm (at around $50).
He is in the same trade as you. No idea who he dealt with. Hope this helps a little. Did you make contact? Dave. Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on May 21, 2014, 12:49:44 PM Thanks Dave, sorry but I haven't tried him yet.
Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: FX1975 on August 10, 2015, 08:24:35 PM Hello Stinky, wondering how you were going with the roof lining material as I'm looking for some in blue for a ute project
Cheers Frank Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on August 10, 2015, 10:35:57 PM The blue sold out ages ago and I am running low on the off-white (which could be coloured).
I am still weighing up the option of ordering more, wait times are horrendous and profit margins slim :/ Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: FX1975 on August 11, 2015, 12:10:15 PM No worries Stinky, please let me know if you get some more of the blue in. How would you colour the White?
Thanks Frank Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on August 12, 2015, 02:07:39 PM You can buy vinyl paint and there are companies out there that specialise in vinyl repair and recolouring.
Title: Re: Roof lining Post by: FX1975 on August 14, 2015, 11:18:10 AM Thanks Stinky
