Title: Uplifting Spring Rubbers Post by: graham_fuller on March 18, 2014, 03:47:26 PM Hi Guys does anyone know where I would buy new uplifting spring rubbers? They are about 50mm diameter and about 25-30mm thick with a 5/16 hole in the middle.

It's tough stuff & the holes can be punched easily.

I had thought of Clark's, DJ I hadn't thought of that would more than likely work. I thought of possibly cutting spring saddle rubbers in half and trying to make that work. Do you guys know if they are fairly solid?

Regards Alex Title: Re: Uplifting Spring Rubbers Post by: hsv-001 on March 20, 2014, 11:07:19 AM Back in the day we used rubber door stops [the ones that screw down to wooden floors] as bumperette rubbers .But for what you want you could look toward ringing someone like Fulcrum suspension .If they cant find you something close they could probably make it at their factory . If you are not worried about originality I would use commodore strut rubbers [nylothane ] or HQ-HZ LH-UC lower control arm bump stops as they have a bolt that will go through the holes .Just a few thoughts .Cheers Haydn

I've always known them as helper springs as I'm sure they are only used when extra load is placed on the suspension . When I got my van from the original owner it had too many springs under it ,so I took these and most of the springs out [think I have 5 per side now] . To stiffen the rearend you can find another set of springs and mix and match leaves ,or just cut the top leaf at the eyes and use it in your spring pack .
