I have used brass machine thread bolts and nuts. After fitting with the nut on the top side of window frame I cut off flush and file finished. Dab of Loctite always works well. Do you want me to send photos? Cheers Craig D Title: Re: Bolt and screw types n sizes Post by: FCRB26 on March 14, 2014, 07:05:01 AM Top of rear doors 2 self tappers dont they ?

Title: Re: Bolt and screw types n sizes Post by: gp on March 14, 2014, 04:38:42 PM Top of the rear door should have rivets....
Title: Re: Bolt and screw types n sizes Post by: mcl1959 on March 14, 2014, 04:58:46 PM Since the small hollow rivets can be hard to find, this is what I do.
Use the appropriate size pop rivet then take a pin punch and tap through the remains of the steel shaft to remove it. Then using a countersink punch, tap the bottom of the rivet up neatly. Failure to do these last 2 steps will result in bailey channel which does not sit in place correctly. Its only when it comes to mods. or hot rod projects I have to think about it . Haydn
Title: Re: Bolt and screw types n sizes Post by: NES304 on March 15, 2014, 05:03:12 PM Well its not my first build although being somewhat younger it is odd to my mates that I work mostly in Imperial (including at work). I do lack the hoard of bolts that you talk about Hayden :P
Title: Re: Bolt and screw types n sizes Post by: mcl1959 on March 15, 2014, 05:10:10 PM I have plenty of bolts sorted and stored here. Make a list of what you need and I should be able to supply it.
