He had nos grille badge and wilsonia im trying to buy.. I'm imagining an elderly lady living on her own who's wise not to answer the door to strangers. Elderly also like to receive mail addressed to them personally rather than phone calls or door knockers - a polite letter of introduction describing your interest & requesting a time to visit so she may be able to have someone she knows there with her. Someone in the street may be able to help with a surname name & her correct title (miss, ms, mrs).
Just my thoughts without really knowing the situation. I'd buy flowers when you pick it up if a sale eventuates. Even if there's no reply or no sale your hat is in the ring waiting for that mind change a week later.
