How typical was this shot in country towns on the day.
Does it read Deniliquin on the door?

Yep, Mac Motors Deniliquin.

Notice the combination - 1 sedan for the man about town, 1 wagon for the family, 2 utes for the farmers.

Have you guys seen the Bendigo Tramways Centennial 1890-1990 30 min video? Haven't been able to find it on the net apart from library's to provide a link.

It's full of great footage taken from trams in the 50's & 60's including streets full of cars from the era, lots of FC's & FE's.

Relevant to this post is footage of a semi load of FC bodies going through town I presume heading to Melbourne. The truck looks something like a Comer perhaps. I'll try to upload a snip of it.

Just to let you know if you don't already, John(red-devil) has be given the go ahead by the family of the transort co, who owned the truck in the first few pictures. Should be an interesting model when finished.

I loved the bus with the prams bouncing around on the back bumper.

Some interesting history on trams & a good example of what the community spirit can achieve.

Many drivers now would have never needed to use hand signals.
