Title: Wilsonia Gauge Post by: Old_Mt_Isa_Boy on January 02, 2014, 02:01:41 PM Is the Wilsonia gauge prone to an oil leak? I have checked and re-checked the fittings on the back but it still wants to leak. Anyone else had the problem?
Thanks in advance. Regards Wayne b Title: Re: Wilsonia Gauge Post by: fcwrangler on January 02, 2014, 03:24:05 PM Wayne, have you checked the rose at the end of the tube? It could be pulled down crooked thus cutting into the tube. Failing that, maybe put some thread seal tape around the fitting and then screw it back together.

It has a flat face fitting which is peculiar to older Smiths type guages. Without the correct fitting it will most likely leak.
If you have the correct fitting, is there a thin fibre gasket between the faces? There should be. Ken Title: Re: Wilsonia Gauge Post by: Old_Mt_Isa_Boy on January 02, 2014, 05:16:05 PM Wrong fitting. Not cool. I guess not a hope in hell getting one?

Ken can you let me know the fitting adaptor size, or is it a common expression at a hydraulic shop?
