Title: Cleaning block
Post by: rickjen on November 28, 2013, 05:29:53 PM
Hi all
I have a Karcher power washer, what is the best way to clean rust and grime out of the waterways i will be replacing welsh plugs. Do I leave them in there till I clean out or remove them first, any solvents such as kero etc to be used or just pressure water. Also help on cleaning oil galleries etc would also be appreaciated
thanks in advance
rick

Take them all out, including the one at the rear. The pressure washer alone should be OK along with some wire or other suitable sharp instrument to remove stubborn bits. Any foreign substance you put in the oil galleries to dissolve oil would be OK as long as you can flush it all out after you finish.
