Title: M20 hydraulic Bell housing for HR ute
Post by: Oggz on October 20, 2013, 11:38:03 PM
Hi guys,

Well, this is either gonna be simple or stupid, I have an M20 box, floor shifter and a tail shaft. But the box has the bell housing for a cable clutch. Need a bell housing for a hydraulic clutch set up that the HR normally comes with. Ute currently has a powerglide, but wish to rip that out this xmass while motor is getting a refresh and use the gear box I have. I have been told that it is a reasonably simple swap if you have all the parts.

Bell housing is what I am missing, I have the old master, slave and pedal setup from when it was manual(column too) but the bell housing is proving harder to find than I thought.

If anyone has info on where I can get one locally, Gold Coast, that would be awesome but If I have to go interstate then so be it, Cant stand the p/glide any more, its just killing the ute, its not a cruiser and the fuel it chews is killing my pocket.

Please help ;)
J

P.S. one of the old codgers from the club (no offense ;)) said something about needing a bracket for the slave cylinder off the box for this to work....????

Oggz,
Yes there is a bracket that bolts onto the bell housing. I think from memory the slave cylinder is also after market.
