Title: Re: fc resto Post by: wutevr on September 16, 2013, 10:21:46 PM Nice, what are the plate details?Cheers,Jamie. fc 225-9934-s I was told it might be a cop car can that be true?Title: Re: fc resto Post by: mcl1959 on September 17, 2013, 06:35:40 PM Is it a factory black car? It looks like it may have been white or grey originally. What else is on the ID plate?
Police car would have evidence of police fittings such as repaired holes in the roof and bonnet. Plus there would be odd holes in the firewall & skirts where accessories like the siren and radio would have been. Unlikely to be a police car. The hole above the windscreen would be where a sunvisor once was.

Title: Re: fc resto Post by: wutevr on April 30, 2015, 10:01:21 PM anyone fitted a 2jz Toyota motor in an fc haven't seen any yet might be going that way
Title: Re: fc resto Post by: perth_ute on May 01, 2015, 03:45:25 PM Was very close to fitting a Toyota 4lt V8 but found too many issues with the block width, then looked at the RB25. I still like the idea of the RB25 because very reliable, cheap to buy and huge power if you want to go that way. But negs are its not Holden and does not give you the tinker factor. Anyway went V8 Holden for the noise.
Title: Re: fc resto Post by: wutevr on May 02, 2015, 11:01:48 AM 2jz is a 3lt six cast block alloy head its in the supras developed in 1997 super strong stock 280 horses

Title: Re: fc resto Post by: Ol_Girl_58 on September 20, 2015, 09:16:45 PM I'm very interested to see how you go with this build, as I also think the 2JZ would be a smart swap. Interested in the IFS too. I think V6 Conversions were playing with an IRS conversions for early Holdens at one point, too.
Good luck. Cheers, Josh. Title: Re: fc resto Post by: wutevr on September 20, 2015, 10:11:10 PM what steering column length is the fc 30 or 32 inch
