Title: Melbourne Auction 26th October 2013
Post by: REDMR2RED on September 13, 2013, 03:45:56 PM
From their Press Release.

Theodore Bruce , Australia 's oldest auction house, established in 1878, has consigned an
international-class group of cars for its auction of the evening of Saturday 26th October 2013
at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne in conjunction with Motorclassica International
Concours d'Elegance and Classic Motor Show.

Two very co llectible Holden's, "Australia's own car", are also featured. The 1947 Holden
Prototype Number 4, "KJ-400" is in fact the oldest Australian Holden in existence and its
significance, not to be underestimated , lies in the fact that it marks the birth of Australian car
manufacturing per se and of the country's emergence as an industrial nation post WW2. It
has been in current ownership for over 33 years. The other Holden is a remarkably correct
and complete 1977 Group C A9X Hatch and perhaps the most original of these 33 sports
racing cars built.
