Title: Gemini brake boosters
Post by: 57effie on September 09, 2013, 08:24:24 PM

After spending a small fortune converting his Austin 16 brakes to hydraulic, my mate is converting them back to push rods. Amongst the bits he is removing are 2 fully recoed Gemini brake boosters. They are obviously different in size and shape. One is smaller and mounts onto the firewall on a flange about 60mm deep and the other has a larger squarer body the looks like it bolts straight on the firewall. They both have the Gemini master cylinders with twin reservoirs. I have a HR disc front end with LX torana rotors and callipers. Is one of these boosters going to be suitable, am I going to need to shift the clutch master cylinder and what would they be worth ?

Cheers

Mark

There are 2 Gemini configurations. Have a look on eBay at xb masters  to get an idea.

Thanks Deano,

I figured out that one is a Gemini booster, the other is the one my mate was using on his Austin. It is the booster for the clutch on a Landcruiser, too small for what I want to use it for. I'm going to use a VH 40.

So if anyone is interested I have a Gemini mastervac booster for sale or maybe trade for something.

Cheers
