Title: Front guards
Post by: fe350chev on July 07, 2013, 08:29:31 PM
Does anyone know whether the bolts that go on to flange of guards were actually contoured or straight from the factory?

I am talkin g about the ripples in the top of the guard where they bolt onto the front frame, is it the bolts being tightened that ripples it or are they contoured already, ill send pic tomoz.

Some are rippled really bad some not so bad.
Theres a lot of stress going into the metal to achieve that profile in the guards.
Could be steel type could be weather temperature could be old mounds.

So I think that cos mine are so crap, I should just leave them the way they are with the ripples perhaps. Soon I will be getting my chassis flex test done and I will bolt them on for that. Didnt know if I should beat them straight or just leave them as it.
