Title: soda vs garnet vs whatever else?
Post by: fe350chev on May 28, 2013, 06:22:05 PM
Hi

For a surface that is heavily surface rusted, will soda be up to the job or is garnet better or some other new way to do more around the under body ??? ??? ??? areas?

I only want people to comment if they have actually had their cars done or a number of parts done. I have already had thicker parts done with used garnet and it was quite hardsh but not to critical parts?

Cheers

Deano.

We have an excellent blaster here in newcastle he has cars coming from as far as melbourne ed has used him.
Imperial blasting.
Uses a new clear sealer can be bogged etch primed over so you can see the finish or the damage ..

With Soda Blasting there is no heat transferred, therefore no panel distortion.

I hear molasses dipping is a excellent way to remove heavy rust, takes time but does the trick, or so the old guys in the club say...

yeah we have been doing that in a wheelie bin, but using a fairly low strength, plenty around here. it makes paint wipe off like wet paper.
