Title: Tailgate handle Post by: pedro on May 20, 2013, 01:25:02 PM G'day all, would anyone know how to pull a wagon tailgate handle/lock to pieces, I need to get mine rechromed but can't get it apart and there is no reference to it in the manual and no exploded view in the parts catalogue.

Title: Re: Tailgate handle Post by: mcl1959 on May 20, 2013, 05:30:47 PM There is a small pin pressed in near the lock slide. Use a pin punch to remove it and the whole lot comes apart.
Ken Title: Re: Tailgate handle Post by: pedro on May 21, 2013, 11:42:21 AM Thanks Brett and Ken, knocking out the pin worked, so simple when you know how, definitely a lot easier than drilling out all the rivets and dismantling 1/4 windows to make up a good set to rechrome.
