Title: The boat to Tassie Post by: weddo on April 04, 2013, 01:39:42 PM BOOKINGS FOR THE SPIRIT OF TASMANIA.
The "Spirit" are in the process of changing their group booking system from when we initially received our "quotation" over twelve months ago, so we have had to wait. The system will be an online link to the Tassie Nationals section of their web page which they will have operational shortly "Our reservation system will be open for bookings for your requested dates in approx May 2013 and until then your request has been placed on file" When the system comes on line shortly we will notify every one through this media of the process to log on. In essence they will hold space for approximately one month either side of the nationals and guarantee space for approx ten days either side. They only offer "best price" at the time for single bookings but I believe those clubs or groups that may want to book for 18 people or more will get a discounted rate, but don't hold me to that. I will be advising them of approximate numbers after the entries for the Nationals close. (entry forms soon) Regards Bill & Judi Wedd Title: Re: The boat to Tassie Post by: FC0058 on April 04, 2013, 08:31:33 PM Bill & Judi

Last time I went across, you drove the car below decks and just parked it really close to other cars (and the wall). NO tiedowns. The weather was exceptionally foul and all night I could hear banging and crashing, thinking my car was being smashed to bits. But no, next morning everything was OK. Don't worry. Cheers, Prof. PS: No warranties, express or implied, are given or intended. ;D Title: Re: The boat to Tassie Post by: surferboy on August 14, 2013, 07:41:47 PM I'll bring the brick I carry around for when I park on hills or should I bring 2 ?... one to stop it rolling forward and one to stop it rolling backwards ::) 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: The boat to Tassie Post by: JB on August 16, 2013, 08:01:04 AM After all the cars are parked and the deck sealed off to passengers the cars are chained to the decks... You can see the tie down points as you get off the car.
