Originally Built by Ray Hollingworth at a cost of $2000. (60'S $$'S). Featured Custom mix bronze paint, Headlamps are International truck with Fiat backings, grill is handmade using 1" tube and 1/4" rings. Dash is 59 Pontiac Model T wheel on EJ column, Continental taillights and Keystone mags. Rolled rear pan and EH front bumper and pan. Ran grey mtr w/ McGee 23/60 cam, sonic extractors and triple 1 1/2" SU's. A few of us visited "Old Oldens" wrecking yard in Adelaide during the '99 Nationals and the proprietor knew the person who had found it.
In the entranceway of the wreckers are a stack of photos of customised 48s and FJs. There were also a number of customs in various staging of construction around the back. I'm in Adelaide and usually head down to old oldens every week or so, I'll have a word with them next time about who has the car and then see if I can beg a chance to snap some digicam pics.
