Title: Pearlcraft steering wheels reconditoning.
Post by: FCRB26 on October 23, 2012, 09:45:02 AM
Just wondering if anyone else has had strange dealings with pearlcraft?
I send an email to pearlcraft about having a steering wheel reco,d i said i just wanted it black.
The reply i got was nothing more than rude if you want a ebay cheap repair job send it to someone on ebay.
I never mentioned price or ebay all i wanted was my steering wheel fully refurbished.
So i did the right thing and replied and said look i dont care if it has to be pearl coated and painted 2K black i want it recod as your advertising states thats what you do .

No reply ?
who else does wheels that wants some business?

Pete

We have had two wheels done by Pearlcraft and have had excellent service and communication.  I am pretty sure they dont use 2k paint.  We would recommend them to anyone.  Maybe there has been some hitch in the communication in this instance.

I remember calling once, they were VERY clear that they won't do wheels plain, Pearl or PoQ.

Try OLDEN1 - Geoff & Cathie Field - he advertises restored steering wheels - not pearl.

I have seen his work - very good

I spoke to Pearlcraft a year or so ago about reducing the diameter and thickening the band of my original FC steering wheel, and having it finished in piano black, without a pearl effect. The woman I spoke with told me they could do it and it wouldn't be an issue.

Josh

Pete

I have had dealt with both Pearlcraft and OLDEN1.

Both have been very pleasant.

Pearlcraft pearled my steering wheel and did a great job.

Geoff & Cathie Field have been exceptionally nice so much so that they sent through a replacement grill badge insert beacuse there was a fault with the first one in that the chrome lion turned a gold colour. I bought the first one about 6 months ago and the replacement has just turned up last week with a note explaining why.

I would highly recommend Geoff and Cathie's ethical approach to business and can I encourage those who need parts to support their business.

Regards
