Title: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: colt on August 25, 2012, 09:54:37 AM One for the gurus:
Given that my wagon is the 296th made, in 1957, I'm looking for an engine in the range from L321000-L415000. Anyone like to narrow the range for me? Colin. Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: FE_UTE on August 25, 2012, 11:43:05 AM G,day Colin

Regards Wayne b Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: colt on August 25, 2012, 08:20:24 PM Gary, Sarasota White and Turquoise. I'm trying to make another start on it. I haven't seen another FE in this combination.
Given it's early build, I'll look around 330-350. Colin. Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: Stewy on August 25, 2012, 09:21:45 PM Hi Colin,
That seems like a good range to look for. My FE wagon is the 3,018th built in adelaide Engine number L398744 which is November 1957 The FC wagon that I wrecked had a grey motor with no engine number at all. Would be very nice to see another FE wagon back on the road :) Cheers Stewy 8) Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: zulu on August 25, 2012, 09:33:41 PM Hey Stewy, what colour is your Wagon? Col, I think Robin in SA has an FE Wagon in those colours, and you're correct, an uncommon colour and and a rare car to boot Gary Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: Stewy on August 25, 2012, 09:58:29 PM Hi Gary,
My wagon is Teal Blue over Breton Blue with Summit Blue and Cosmos Grey interior. It even has Teal and Breton painted on the firewall which I believe to be original. I, like you thought of Robins wagon straight away because it looks blue over white. It is actually Royal Marine over Castle Grey with Persian Turquoise and Parchment Ivory interior Cheers Stewy 8) Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: zulu on August 25, 2012, 10:19:56 PM Sounds like a nice colour combo Stewy, they did some weird and wonderful things back then A two tone firewall ! crazy baby Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: Stewy on August 25, 2012, 10:32:35 PM Firewall is only one colour (Breton Blue) but has the words " Teal " and " Breton " painted on the firewall
Sorry about the confusion. Will post a picture tomorrow. Cheers Stewy 8) Title: Re: FE Wagon engine no. Post by: mcl1959 on August 26, 2012, 12:25:53 PM Colt - I have just approved the new FE wagons for Trax and the colours are Sarasota White and Turquoise on the special and Frankston cream on the standard.
