Here is a photo of the "new" NSW Police Association building in Sussex Street, circa May 1962 (I think). I've gone and had a look through a magnifying glass at the original pic and found what looks to be a curtain in the back window.... whatever a curtain is doing in a panel van, I'll never know, but it seems to cast doubts on this actual van being a police van....
