It was an Australia wide theme that they got from the USA. Detriot had been using it since the 40's, it worked well there, so they tried it here. I recently had an "OK" Used Cars paperweight. It looked great. Check the long slim fingers and the nails! This was a commomn pic used for many adds - a real generic face and the advert artist just super imposes some othe art to make the picture. Seems plaugerism was alive and well back then too . In NZ this face was used to sell a brand of porridge... Cheers streetneat
