Post by: FC 304 wannabe on July 08, 2012, 06:59:50 PM
hi guys,

anybody out there with 304 holden v8 experience,,, I want to iliminate the heater hoses on my fc project car..
is it as simple as blocking the hose at the front of the manifold and looping the two hoses coming off the water pump together? Or is there more to it ????

thanks,
Shannon .

In the holes where the hoses came off,
Most new pumps have 1 blocked from factory like that and you need to remove if you use

Shannon, you should be able to buy rubber cups that fit over the hose outlet that is then secured with a hose clamp. Holdens use to supply them specifically to blank off hose outlets that are no longer required. It looks alot neater than looping the hose from one outlet to the other. This is another option if you don't want to go to the effort of tapping the hole and fitting a tapered plug.
