Title: Rear Spring Hanger Problem
Post by: BAZZA on July 01, 2012, 04:20:25 PM
One of my rear spring hangers is flipped around the wrong way, does anyone know what is the easiest way to flip it back to it's original position?
Regards Bazza

jimmy bar  and jack the car up off the body to take the load off the spring.

Bazza,

Jack the car up under the the body. disconect the shockie, place a small jack between the spring and the chassis and pump trhe spring down a little, then use a small bar to flip the spring hangar around. Let the small jack down, replace the shockie, and drop the car down.

Thanks Weddo I like the jack idea. Dave I think it happened when I picked the car up from it's previous owner, it was wedged against a wall so four us got on the rear end of the car and hopped the back of it over. Regards Bazza
