Hi Rod,

I don't know if this link will work, but it is an FC on a landrover chassis

once you fit a genuine 4wd chassis there are no power to weight restrictions, under new laws, so yes what ever drive train you can fit will work

one thing to remember with with a rebody is what ever chassis you use the car will be registered as that and not an fc, so all pollution and epa regulations will apply as if it was that vehicle, and an older engine or engine with higher emission can not be used unless on straight gas(any thing newer is ok), and if you chose an engine with better emissions controls you must leave them on, with emissions laws what ever has the highest emission controls is what you must apply to.

Same goes for airbags, collapsible columns etc so stick to an early year and reduce your obstacles.

Hey Rod,

How did the landrover  chassis work out? Sounds like a big project and a lot of fun, so keep us in the loop if you can.
