Title: Trimatic behind a Grey
Post by: Oggz on June 19, 2012, 07:37:54 PM
Been seeing alot about trimatics into FCs lately, Its what I plan on doing, even have a good one in the garage to use. I was planning on using one of these kits

http://www.earlyholdenparts.com.au/fj-holden/grey-motor-to-trimatic-adaptor-kit/ ($2)

Have read a bit about them and they seem to have been around for quite some time. Does anyone have feed back on these kits?

I like the idea of simply keeping the stock steering column. Was also planning to use an auto tunnel from CRS, EK auto floor just seem out of my reach at the moment.

Any feedback on the conversion kits would be appreciated.

My other option is to simply fit the 149 I have in the garage too, but for now I would rather stay with the grey

Cheers

Rogers kits are 110% fantastic! I have used two of them in different cars and both were spot on. There are quite a few people on the forum that have used them and (from memory) none of them had issues fitting them either. Just a simple easy to install kit that comes with just about everything you need. Roger is always happy to help with info or assistance is you do happen to run into any problems as well.

M!
P.S. not affiliated in any way just a very happy customer!

i have also seen this kit used with a t700 box, if your after an overdrive,
but you will need some rear support as well if using the t700,

I know its been a while since this was active, but does anyone know if an ej-eh auto steering column slots into an FC for this conversion, or is it still best to try and find an EK column?

Cheers
