FE was stainless

Fc was Chrome well so i was told.

I assume they went steel/ chrome as stainless would nock the hell out of the dies and its probablly cheaper.

A lot of guessing on my part im sure i will someone will correct me if im wrong ;D

That's right, fchoon. FE are stainless, FC chrome steel. The later ones are much harder to dent, but the early type last pretty much forever.

Both have their pros and cons I suppose. I believe the chromed steel ones were cheaper to manufacture.

cheers

i prefer the stainless variety, as you can usually get a good result with buff polish rather than re chrome
