Title: king pins
Post by: fe350chev on May 05, 2012, 08:56:55 PM
Does anyone have an recommendations on king pins like better brands etc. I wouldn't have thought it would make a lot of difference except for the bush part material. Any thoughts?

i just used the rare spares change over one's
just make sure if you do, you measure them as when i went to get them i had 1 +0.01" and 1 0.02"
so i waited and got 2 0.01

I agree - unless you have a special ream called an "in-line" reamer then you wont be able to do the job correctly. This ream has an extension which aligns the ream with an existing hole. Otherwise the 2 bushes you ream will not be parallel and they will wear quickly.
Steel quality would be what you are looking for rather than bush material.

The inline reamers are avaliable at gasweld, not as dear as blackwoods
