Title: Re: Ute Wanted Post by: weddo on August 21, 2012, 09:15:36 PM First of all thank you to everyone that provided leads, PM's and phone numbers for me to follow up. I must admit that there are some great utes around to choose from, however I did purchase a local unit and probably did what I didn't really want to do... a lot of work.
However it is complete, it is straight albeit a bit rusty and has been sitting in a shed for about fifteen years at a local wrecker that I frequent and the price was less than the transport cost of one from the big island to the north. A couple of pics from my phone. Title: Re: Ute Wanted Post by: weddo on August 30, 2012, 12:33:50 PM I've known Ray for a long long time Ben and about the only thing he hasn't given me over the years is is old humpy race car, but I think I have him convinced he can have it ready for the Historics at Baskerville in October, which would be great to see.
There are a few other local utes out there but some of the present owners think thay are ultra rare and are worth gold. regards Weddo |
