I have 4 **** and soon maybe another. I wander if you can loose one for being bad. On a serious note I believe they are used as a reference as to how often you use the forum and how many posts you have made. It is a status thing. Title: Re: What's with the gold stars? The number of stars is directly related to your status, ie Newbie, Junior Member, Guru etc. People with admin privileges automatically get 5 blue stripey stars.
