Title: Sunday 25 March 2012 – Shannons Wheels Expo
Post by: ridgey_didge on March 13, 2012, 12:10:32 PM
The FE-HR Holden Owners Club of the ACT invites any Holden enthusiast to join us at the 30th anniversary of Shannons Wheels Expo on Sunday 25 March 2012, on the lawns of Old Parliament House Canberra from 10:00 am to 3:00pm.

The display for the FE-HR HOC will be at the usual place between the Lake and King Edward Terrace, with entry from Mall Row West.  Head for Questacon and ask marshalls for direction if required.  Please note drip trays are required for all vehicles attending the display.

Come and enjoy a family picnic day surrounded by veteran, vintage, classic and modern vehicles in one of the best panoramic views in Canberra.  You will be able to see the newly restored club trailer and club members will be happy to have a chat about your car and theirs.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers
David

Please note the following change of venue!!!!

Shannon's Wheels 2012 event has been relocated to Thoroughbred Park, Randwick Road, Mitchell.
There are concerns that the recent rain will have softened the grounds at Old Parliament House and damage may be sustained.

Cheers
David

Great day, great weather, a good new venue and heaps of cars.  Not many FE/FCs, but one van making its debut was well worth the outing.  Here are a selection of my photos.

The brand new van as promised.  A real crowd puller on the day.

It was an NRMA vehicle in country NSW - Grenfell district.  It had sliding windows in the back I was told.

We will try to get him along to Grey Pride at Berrima on 20 May.
