can't recommend it highly enough if you dont want that coil you can just get a Bosch GT40 Title: Re: New Coil Post by: Darren M on March 11, 2012, 08:11:44 PM Thanks John
I just have the coil and not the other bits to replace the points is it still ok to use the coil. cheers Darren Title: Re: New Coil Post by: mcl1959 on March 11, 2012, 08:19:33 PM Check the coil is for 12 volt operation and not for 7 volt - grey motors use a 12 volt coil and reds use a 7 volt coil. So the coil you have must be to suit a grey motor, not a red motor.

but if it for a 6 cylinder i think they only sell 3 ohm Title: Re: New Coil Post by: john253a on March 11, 2012, 09:36:40 PM http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/flame/coils/chart.aspx

Yes it is 3ohm I was a bit worried it would be to powerful for my grey motor system. Cheers Darren Title: Re: New Coil Post by: john253a on March 12, 2012, 12:16:35 PM its a very common upgrade ;D

Do you know any thing about wheel offsets for fc vans. Looking at buying a set of 13x7 with 70mm back space and 0 offset. Will they fit? cheers Darren Title: Re: New Coil Post by: john253a on March 13, 2012, 06:54:56 PM nothing sorry mate
